DEVELOPMENT TRANSMISSION LOG // GUTTERSTAR SURVIVAL

DEVLOG

Patch notes, design decisions, and dispatches from inside the Belt. Updated irregularly — like everything else out here.

v0.3 is the update we've been building toward since the original design doc. The Chitin Collective has been a background presence in the lore since launch — the signal patterns in the ARIA network, the drill geometries at Harrow Point, the thing that shouldn't be in the Axis Prime power readings. v0.3 is where they stop being background.

Signal Zero is the station that isn't on any official Belt survey. It shows up on long-range scans at coordinates that should be empty. The hull configuration doesn't match any Hegemony design on record — it matches Chitin construction patterns from the WW4 classified archive, with modifications. We've been building it for four months. It's the most complex environment we've made.

The ARIA network event layer is the other big piece. Right now, ARIA is mostly environmental — power fluctuations, sealed bulkheads, the occasional unauthorized process running in the background. In v0.3, ARIA starts responding to you. Not helping. Responding. There's a difference.
